Scarborough has a couple of different museums with a number of interesting displays. Theres the Rotunda Museum housed in a beautiful purpose built building with its various archaeological finds. Whilst the Wood End Museum, based on natural history with local wildlife exhibits is also well worth a look.
The Sealife Centre at Scarborough is open from 10am daily, and is where the whole family can enjoy a fun-packed day finding out about what lies beneath the sea. Thrill at seeing everything from seals and turtles, to seahorses and penguins. Theres a chance for learn about the marine life as well as the conservation worked carried out on site.
Everyone loves Scarboroughs beaches but the more modern attraction of Olympia Leisure is that its an attraction the weather can spoil. Choose between going bowling or playing snooker on one of their many full size tables. Alternatively have a go on the bumper cars, or try your hand a pin ball and air hockey, the choice is yours.
If you adore driving then youll be in your absolute element at Langdale Quest, situated just outside Scarborough in the heart of the Landgale Forest. Test out your off-road skills on a quad bike, or in a hardy 4x4 vehicle. Its not cheap, but its definitely worth it!
When is comes to the arts there is the Scarborough Art Gallery, which also house the Crescent Arts Gallery in its basement that is dedicated to nurturing local talent.
